Nova M. Chesebro, Esquire

Nova M. Chesebro attended the University of Colorado, Boulder, as an undergraduate. While a student at the University of Colorado, she was awarded a Dean’s Scholarship. Nova was a member of National Golden Key Honor Society, Beta Gamma Sigma, CU American Marketing Association and was on the Dean’s List. Nova also volunteered as a Teacher’s Aid at San Juan Del Centro. Nova obtained a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Colorado in 1996.

Nova completed the University of Colorado real estate licensure program in 1997. From 1998 until 1999 Nova worked for Goodbye Blue Monday as an Inside Sales Representative.

Nova attended the University of Colorado School of Law beginning in 1999. She was awarded the Seman Academic Scholarship. Additionally, Nova was a law school representative for United Government of Graduate Students. During the summer of 2000, Nova traveled to Italy for three months where she studied European Union Law in Sienna. During her third year of law school, Nova worked as a Law Clerk at the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office.

From June 2002 until December 2004, Nova was the Arraignment Deputy District Attorney and then a Deputy District Attorney in Boulder, Colorado. In 2004, Nova volunteered as the Moot Court Attorney Coach for Justice High in Boulder, Colorado.

In January 2005, Nova moved to Seattle, Washington, where she studied for and passed the Washington State Bar Exam. Thereafter, she became a licensed attorney in the State of Washington.

Nova returned to Colorado in September 2005, and joined Cooper, Tanis, Fuller & Cohen, P.C., as an associate attorney in April 2006. Nova actively volunteers with Boulder County Legal Services.

In leisure time, Nova enjoys traveling, reading and outdoor activities. Between her undergraduate education and law school, she spent two months traveling in Costa Rica. After her second year of law school, she traveled through Greece, Turkey and Spain.
